Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 21, 2026 · Last updated: July 21, 2026

ArcadeGo ("ArcadeGo," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your information.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use the ArcadeGo platform, including our websites, mobile applications, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By using ArcadeGo, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, information collected automatically, and information from third-party services.

Data We Collect in the Mobile App

If you use the ArcadeGo mobile app, we collect the following data. Each item is linked to your account and is used only to provide app functionality — never for advertising or tracking:

  • Email address — account creation, login, and account-related communication
  • Name — your player profile and display name on reviews and scores
  • User ID — account identity; links your reviews, scores, and favorites
  • Precise location — showing nearby venues, only while you are using the app; processed transiently and never stored on our servers
  • Photos — images you choose to attach to reviews and high-score submissions
  • Other user content — review text, ratings, high scores, and venue claims

Information You Provide

Depending on how you use ArcadeGo, you may provide:

  • Name or display name
  • Email address
  • Username
  • Password credentials
  • Profile information
  • Reviews and ratings
  • High score submissions
  • Photos and uploaded media
  • Event submissions
  • Venue management information
  • Support requests or communications

If you create or manage a venue account, we may also collect:

  • Business contact information
  • Venue details
  • Hours of operation
  • Promotional content
  • Event and attraction information

Sign in with Apple

ArcadeGo supports Sign in with Apple. Apple provides your name and email address only on your first sign-in, and you may choose to use Apple's private relay email address instead of your real one. We store the account identifier Apple provides so we can link you to your ArcadeGo account on future sign-ins. Apple's handling of your data is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

Information Collected Automatically

When you use ArcadeGo, we may automatically collect:

  • IP address
  • Device type and operating system
  • Browser information (on the web)
  • App version
  • First-party usage and diagnostic data

This data is collected and processed on our own infrastructure. The mobile app does not include any third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Service.

Location Information

In the mobile app, your precise location is used only while you are using the app, and only to show venues near you. It is sent to our servers as part of the nearby-venue search and processed transiently — we do not store your location. On the web, we may use approximate location derived from your IP address. You can control location permissions at any time through your device or browser settings.

User-Generated Content

Content you submit may be publicly visible, including reviews, ratings, profile names, uploaded photos, event listings, comments, high scores, and venue updates. Please avoid submitting sensitive personal information publicly.

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Operate and improve ArcadeGo
  • Authenticate users
  • Provide venue discovery features
  • Display maps and nearby venues
  • Process venue claims and management tools
  • Moderate content and prevent abuse
  • Personalize user experiences
  • Analyze platform usage and performance
  • Send service-related communications
  • Respond to support requests
  • Maintain platform security
  • Enforce our Terms of Service

We may also use aggregated or anonymized information for analytics, research, and business purposes.

3. App Permissions & On-Device Storage

The ArcadeGo mobile app requests certain device permissions, each for a specific purpose:

  • Camera — used to scan game titles and to take photos for reviews and score submissions. Camera images are not retained beyond the content you choose to submit.
  • Calendar — write-only access, used solely to add events you choose to save to your calendar. The app never reads your calendar.
  • Location — "while using the app" only, as described above.

The app also stores some data on your device: your authentication token in the device Keychain, your profile and preferences in local storage, and a cache of images for performance. No secrets are synced anywhere beyond your own account.

4. Third-Party Services & Data Sources

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-app tracking or advertising. The mobile app contains no analytics or advertising SDKs. The third parties that touch ArcadeGo data are:

  • Apple — authentication via Sign in with Apple
  • ArcadeGo's backend API (api.arcadego.io) — our own service, where your account and content data is stored and processed
  • Cloud hosting and email-delivery providers — processors acting on our behalf to operate the Service
  • OpenStreetMap and Pinball Map — sources of venue and game catalog data; no personal data is shared with them
  • Twilio — delivers venue waiver text messages only (see the SMS Communications section below)

Third-party services may independently collect information according to their own privacy policies. ArcadeGo is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information.

With Service Providers

We may share data with vendors and service providers that help operate ArcadeGo, including hosting, analytics, and communications providers. These providers may access information only as necessary to perform services on our behalf.

Publicly Through the Platform

Certain information is intentionally public, including reviews, ratings, public profile information, venue contributions, uploaded venue media, event listings, and leaderboards and scores.

For Legal Reasons

We may disclose information if required to comply with law or legal process, enforce our agreements, protect users or the public, investigate fraud or abuse, or protect platform security.

Business Transfers

If ArcadeGo is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

6. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to operate the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain platform integrity. We may retain backup copies or archived data for operational and legal purposes.

7. Account Deletion

You can delete your account directly in the mobile app (Profile → Edit → Delete Account) or by emailing us at privacy@arcadego.io. Deletion requests are honored within 30 days.

When your deletion is completed:

  • Your account is anonymized — your name, email address, and sign-in identifiers are permanently removed, and your credentials and sessions are revoked
  • Reviews, scores, and uploaded photos may remain on the platform in anonymized form, de-linked from your identity
  • Certain records may be retained for legal, fraud prevention, moderation, or operational purposes
  • Backups may persist temporarily

We send a confirmation email to your account address once deletion is complete.

8. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

ArcadeGo is not directed toward children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that such information has been collected, we will take reasonable steps to remove it.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your information, including accessing your information, correcting inaccurate information, requesting deletion, objecting to certain processing, and requesting portability of your data.

To exercise applicable rights, contact us using the information below.

California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know and access the personal information we collect about you, to correct inaccurate information, to delete your information, and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA, so no opt-out is required.

You can exercise these rights in-app (account deletion) or by emailing privacy@arcadego.io. We verify requests using the email address associated with your account.

11. Cookies & Similar Technologies

ArcadeGo may use cookies and similar technologies to maintain sessions, authenticate users, remember preferences, improve performance, analyze usage, and protect against abuse. You may control cookies through browser settings, though some features may not function properly if disabled.

12. Analytics & Diagnostics

We collect first-party analytics and diagnostic information to improve the platform, including feature usage, app performance, crash reports, and device information. This data is processed on our own infrastructure and is not shared with third-party analytics providers.

13. SMS Communications

ArcadeGo offers a transactional SMS (text message) program with a single purpose: sending guests a secure link to sign a venue's liability waiver, along with any related confirmation for that waiver. These are one-time, service-related messages.

ArcadeGo does not send marketing or promotional text messages.

How You Opt In (Consent)

We send a waiver link by text only when a guest has actively asked to receive it. Consent is never assumed, pre-checked, or required as a condition of purchasing any goods or services. The opt-in works as follows:

  • At the venue (staff-assisted): when you visit a venue and ask to participate in an activity, a staff member may offer to text you a link to the waiver. If you verbally agree and provide your mobile phone number to staff, you opt in to receive a one-time waiver signing link by text for that visit. Venue staff record this consent at the time it is given.

Consent to receive an automated text message is not a condition of any purchase or of visiting a venue. If you prefer not to receive a text, you can sign the waiver online or on a device at the venue instead.

Filling Out a Waiver Online

If you choose to fill out a venue's waiver yourself on the web, you complete and submit it directly in your browser — no text message is sent. Any phone number or email address you provide on that web form is used only as venue contact information for your waiver record and is not used to send you SMS messages.

Message Frequency, Rates & Carrier Disclaimer

Message frequency depends on how often you request a waiver link — typically one message per visit. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and service plan. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Opting Out & Help

You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, after which we will stop sending texts to that number. For assistance, reply HELP or contact us at privacy@arcadego.io.

Use & Sharing of Mobile Information

Phone numbers and SMS consent collected for this program are used solely to deliver the waiver link described above. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties or affiliates for any purpose, except with the vendors and service providers (such as Twilio, acting on our behalf) that are strictly necessary to deliver these communications.

14. International Users

ArcadeGo may process and store information in the United States or other countries where our providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of information across jurisdictions.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updated versions will be posted with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
